Mexican Film Festival in Paris - October 2026

Viva Mexico kicks off in a few weeks in the heart of Paris. The fourteenth edition of the festival celebrating the country’s cinematic landscape will be held at the Luminor cinema from 6-12 October.

The festival presents an eclectic and diverse programme of films, Q&As, panels and masterclasses, including an in-depth discussion with Diego Luna to mark the screening of his latest film Ceniza en la Boca and one on "fantastical reality" with award-winning filmmaker Fernando Eimbcke. The festival showcases a recent spate of films focusing on the land and on the country’s indigenous population, such as environmental thriller La Reserva followed by a director Q&A and El sueno del Mara’akame, which had received 12 nominations for the 59th Ariel Awards.
