About myDylarama

myDylarama is edited by an all-female team of programmers, academics, social workers and general film enthusiasts to discuss and review films and other screen-related matters, and champion independent, emerging, radical and international work.

We believe that film can be a key platform for underrepresented and oft-ignored voices, as well as a medium for social, economic and cultural awareness. This is why we also seek out budding and talented writers who are new to film / film writing to bring a fresh perspectives on the subjects discussed.

Over the years, we have reviewed and partnered up with a number of festivals and institutions, including the Paris Film Festival, DocHouse and the International Human Rights Film Festival. Since 2016, we have been the official UK partner of the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, overseeing its online platform - the Brasserie du Court. Our most recent partnership is with the London - based Emerging Filmmakers Night team. We are also proud to be partners of the Independent Media Association.

The myDylarama podcast, which explores films in their social, cultural and racial contexts, is hosted by editors Coco Green and Abla Kandalaft and episodes are available here, in the Screen Extra section, and on Podbean.

Mydylarama accepts submissions and collaboration proposals!
